International Sustainable Energy Development Centre together with the Renaissance Finance International Foundation and British Embassy holds regional workshops “Sustainable Energy and Investments”

The goal of the events is to train specialists in principle rules and regulation of developing projects for funding them by European financial institutions and as a result enhance investment attractiveness of Russia regional projects.

It is planned to hold three workshops in Voronezh, Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk by the end of 2009.

The program is designed for regional administrations and companies representatives in charge of energy efficiency and energy conservation issues as well as energy projects developers demanding investments.

Within the workshop the regional projects will be examined for investment potential and advised on improvement and development of the financial projects.

The program provides for further assistance to the projects developers in their cooperation with international financial institutions: European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, Conning (Swiss Re Group) as well as the project support till the investment contracts is signed.

The high interest in the workshops in different regions in the past witnessed their value and efficiency. ISEDC together with partners hopes to exploit success of the program and continue it in 2010.
